For the first time in decades, Belgrove Senior Boys will have competed in both the Football AND Hurling finals! This astonishing achievement was completed after a comprehensive win over St. Colmcille's, Knocklyon in the semi-final. They will now play in the final against St. Mary's of Lucan; a team the boys narrowly lost to in the first game of the season ( and also the team the boys beat in the Senior Football final! ). On route to the final, the boys toppled the likes of Scoil Mhuire, Marino and St. Brigid's, Castleknock, but will have one more challenge to bring home the ultimate prize. The final will take place on Monday, June 10th, in Croke Park at 12.20pm. Information regarding attendance of the event will be sent home in a letter with the children. Belgrove Abú!

In a tantalising affair, the Junior Hurlers prevailed in their final match over local rivals, Scoil Assaim, by 4-3 to 4-0. Finding themselves 4 points down at halftime, the boys showed real courage, determination and heart to overturn the deficit, with no little help from an astonishing last-minute save from our goalkeeper. The team finished the year second in the league, winning four of our five matches, and amassing a total of 32 goals and 25 points over the season. Finally, massive thank you to all the boys and, of course, to all the parents, whose help and support were massively appreciated by the team and staff!

Our senior hurlers enjoyed an emphatic win against Diswellstown on Thursday. The boys worked exceptionally hard from the first to the final whistle and their reward is a place in the semi-final against St. Colmcilles Knockloyn. We’ve had some fierce battles against Knockloyn is recent years and it promises to be a great occasion. We would like to thank all the parents for their continued support and encouragement during the games I’m sure it will stand to the boys in the upcoming game

Springtime is in full bloom and that can only mean one thing: Tennis at Clontarf LTC! All twelve classes are taking the short stroll down to the tennis club, once a week, for lessons with Alan. If we weren't lucky enough with that alone, we've been blessed with the perfect dry and windless conditions for it too! Lessons will continue for two weeks after Easter.
